Thank You for Your Interest in
Our Storybook Puppies!
How Our Puppies Are Reserved
Our breeding program is purpose-driven—we do
not breed just to produce pets. Instead, we carefully
plan each litter with the intention of keeping select
puppies for our own show program. Only those we
do not keep are made available to exceptional
homes, ensuring they become cherished
companions for the right families.
Because we produce limited litters, demand often
exceeds availability. Choosing the best home for
each puppy is our top priority, as they deserve
nothing but the absolute best. While many
applicants would provide loving homes, we seek the
perfect fit for each puppy and their unique needs.
It’s important to find the right puppy for YOU as well
as the right YOU for the PUPPY!
We sincerely appreciate your
time in completing our New
Owner Questionnaire and your
interest in welcoming a
Storybook Maltese puppy into
your home.
Placement Considerations
We prioritize homes where someone is home most
of the day, ensuring the puppy won’t be left alone
for extended periods.
Due to their tiny size, we are cautious about placing
our puppies in homes with small children or large
dogs.
We give preference to experienced Maltese owners
or those familiar with the care required for delicate
toy breeds.
Families seeking a Maltese as a service dog (e.g., for
diabetes or epilepsy) receive special consideration.
Reserving a Puppy
When a puppy becomes available, there are often
multiple families interested. Placement is
determined by:
✅ Signed spay/neuter agreement
✅ Deposit received (Deposits are non-refundable,
except at the sole discretion of the breeder.)
To be fair to all applicants, we cannot hold a puppy
without a deposit. In the past, we have turned away
wonderful families based on verbal commitments,
only to have applicants back out without
notice—resulting in missed opportunities for others.
 Deposit Payment Methods: Our preferred
methods are PayPal or Venmo. Deposit details will
be provided once the spay/neuter agreement is
sent.
Final Thoughts
We take great care in placing our puppies with the
best possible families. It’s not about “first come, first
served.” Instead, we thoughtfully match each puppy
with a home where they will receive love, attention,
and lifelong care.
Thank you again for your interest in a Storybook
Maltese Puppy! We appreciate your patience and
understanding as we carefully select the best
possible homes for our little angels.

Please take a moment to read
this important information as it
may answer some of the
questions you may have:
Choosing Your Puppy
 We always retain 1st pick.
After that, choices are made in order of received
deposits (1st deposit = 1st pick, 2nd deposit = 2nd
pick, and so forth). Once a second commitment is in
place, we will ask those ahead in line to make their
decision promptly.
Health & Home Environment
Our home is a safe haven for both our family and
our puppies. Since the emergence of COVID-19, we
have restricted in-person visits to protect my
husband, who has congestive heart failure, as well
as our vulnerable puppies.
Our committment to you:
Rest assured, this means your puppy is being raised
in a clean, sterile environment, free from:
 Worms
 Fleas
 Contagious illnesses
Each puppy comes with a health guarantee and will
arrive freshly bathed and free of mats.
Spay/Neuter Policy
All of our puppies are sold as pets only and are
required to be spayed/neutered at the appropriate
age (no later than 6 months). This is not only for
their long-term health (reducing cancer risks) but
also to protect our unique lineage and prevent our
bloodlines from ever falling into the hands of puppy
mills.
Common Questions
How big will my puppy get?
While we do our best to estimate size based on
lineage and past litters, size is never guaranteed.
We’ve seen the largest pup in a litter mature at just 4
lbs and the smallest one reach 7 lbs—nature has its
surprises! Instead, we focus on what we can control:
health, temperament, and quality.
When can my puppy come home?
Puppies leave between 10-14 weeks old, depending
on their readiness. They must be:
✅ Fully weaned
✅ Eating solid food for at least two weeks
✅ Emotionally and physically prepared for the
transition
How does my puppy get to me?
Pickup: We can meet at a convenient location.
Flying In? We’ll greet you at the airport.
Puppy Nanny: A trusted Puppy Nanny can fly with
your puppy and deliver them to your nearest
airport. This service is not included in the puppy
price and must be arranged in advance. Fees are
negotiated directly with the Puppy Nanny, who will
provide photo updates and communication
throughout the journey.
Staying Connected

✅ Watch our Nursery Page – We post updates on
upcoming litters.
✅ Consider the Deposit Waiting List – Those who
have committed to a Storybook Puppy with a
